How’s your Air Quality.
When we think of pollution we think of the air outside, when we should also consider how dirty the air is inside. Indoor Air Quality refers to the air quality in and around your home. When you try to control indoor pollutants you can help reduce your risk of illness. Air quality can have major effects on people of all ages but children, elderly, and people with preexisting conditions are at high risk.
Some major pollutants in homes are:
- Fuel burning appliances (gas stoves and heaters)
- Tobacco products
- Cleaning products
- Central heating and cooling systems if not correctly maintained
- Excess Moisture
Here are a couple options to help the air quality in your home or business:
- Source Control
- Improved Ventilation
- Air Cleaners
By doing just a few of these things you can reduce risk of illness in your home or business. If you or someone you know needs Air Quality Testing done call us here at SERVPRO of University Place/Lakewood West at 253-896-3000 and we can point you in the direction of some one to help you with it.
