Burn Bans – what is it? What else could I do?
6/1/2022 (Permalink)
A burn ban is a temporary ban on open burning during extended periods of elevated fire danger due to widespread amounts of dry natural vegetation compounded by weather conditions and/or outdoor activities. What are some alternatives to a fire during a burn ban?
- Using a propane fire pit
- Propane grills
- A portable campfire
- Camping lantern
- Propane stove
- Tiki torches
Or consider other activities you could participate in without needing a fire:
- Go for a hike
- Play a game
- Go swimming
- Tell stories
- Stargaze
You should always keep up with your city’s burn bans to make sure you aren’t the cause of an accidental fire. For more info on your cities burn ban check the link attached.
